Ann Mosley

Born and raised in Los Angeles California, Ann Mosley, celebrity make-up artist, aesthetician, microblading technician, body sculpting specialist, and mentor is changing the world one brow, body, and face at a time. Raised in the beauty industry, Ann modeled at a young age and left the modeling world to enroll in esthetician school and became a self-taught makeup artist in her early twenties. Invested in the industry for over 20 years, Ann's work has been seen on a host of television networks such as Vice TV, MSNBC, MTV, BET, Access Hollywood, Netflix, etc. Magazines such as Variety, LA Times, NY Times Magazine, and Ebony Magazine. She has worked with top make-up companies such as MAC Cosmetics, Iman, and Paul Dorf. She recently worked with Jennifer Holiday for dream girls' 35th Anniversary and Oscar Academy award winners Ruth E. Carter and Hannah Beachler in 2019. On stage plays like The Things That Make Men Cry and Blue God. She has worked with Grammy award winner Kendrick Lamar, Gugu Mbatha, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Kelita Smith, Cassie Davis, Dorien Wilson, Kaira Akita, legendary female rapper YoYo, film Director Anthony Mandler, Jennifer Louis from Blackish, and many more. Ann created Basic & Beyond Faces, Basic & Beyond Brows, and Basic & Beyond Body where she specializes in acne and discoloration treatments, make-up application, microblading/microshading brow services, and body sculpting treatments. She also worked for Dermalogica and Marinello's School of Beauty as an aesthetician instructor. In between clients and her businesses, Ann mentor's young women determined to reach their goals by giving them the support, the push they need to stay motivated, teaching them to let go of self-doubt, and giving the structural foundation she did not have. This Multitalented artist, teacher, and mentor is humbled and still hungry with more for her to achieve. She may not have all the answers but she still has ink on the blueprint.
